february 23 - 29th

february 23rd.....new moon

hard to believe the month is coming to an end and already so much has happened.  looking back over my blog since i started with the advent of the new year, i can see a delightful pattern in my life that could be construed as boring by some (thank you dhani) but to me it is vibrant, colorful and full of life.  i am thankful to my family, my friends and my body for supporting me in all that i love to do. 

february 24th.....zydeco

dancing tonight with susie we went to a mardi gras zydeco dance and had a kind of meh time.  the problem with dance clubs is that they are very cliquey, so it's easy to feel left out in the cold.  i enjoyed watching and taking pics of some of the fun costumes.   my own costume was pretty cool, but sadly i have no pics to share.














february 25th.....

tour of artists house

finished up my 2nd gallbladder cleanse this morning and though a little weak still managed to go to a felting workshop with a bunch of friends.  our teacher was very generous with the information she shared with us and showing us around her house and studio to see her work.  she is primarily a mosaic artist, and the felting is an aspect of mosaic but in fabric. her house was deliciously full of her art.

february 26th....

dresher library with anjuli to pick up a book that she needs for school.  passed this fabulous house.

february 27th....

times they are a changing....days are getting longer and when i leave work now, there is still a little light in the sky. tonight the sky was so clear i could see jupiter and mars.  but in this pic all i caught was the waxing moon.

february 28th....tuesday's with hedy

it has been almost two months since hedy has been unable to teach.  this evening our class got together to  work on the surprise performance we are planning for hedy's hedy's 99th birthday bash. i made a point of arriving early so i could stop in to see hedy.  two other of my classmates had the same idea and were already with  hedy when i arrived.  hedy was in good spirits and had some nice color in her face.  she's been getting regular reiki treatments and it seems the treatments are helping with pain management and mobility.  god willing, hedy will be moving back into her apartment this week. she truly is a force of nature.

february 29th....that's all folks

february is over....where did it go? well, i know exactly where it's gone thanks to my blog i have a record of every day that has slipped by.  spring is so close i can taste it.  i've been driving past these daffodils for over a week now and have never had time to stop. this morning it was cloudy but i stopped my car and jumped out to smell the flowers.  ummmm....so lovely and fragrant.   my magnolia tree has big juicy buds on it now.  i pray the weather doesn't get so cold that they freeze and fall off. this has happened in the past.  so sad.
