march 29 - april 4th april showers bring may flowers....

march ended with an explosion of color.  can't wait to see what april brings along with passover, and easter, there will ram's birthday, women's retreat weekend, trip to south carolina, my mother's visit and more.  welcome april....bring it on.

our neighbor's tree ...  not sure what kind of tree it is, but he color of the buds are a  deep fuschia

after we finished up on the hill we headed to the estate to walk about. here's dhani showing us a sword our friend alex made.

dhani show ram and hil the water diversion trenches he dug.

ram noticed there was lots of knot weed growing up and we decided to go get the goats and let them nibble on it to keep it under control

new leaves are the most amazing color
here you can see hoggle walking  thought the knot weed...they are still tender shoots that the goats will love to nibble on.

this is a sculpture in the meditation garden

we have 14 goats now, and here they are diving in on the knot weed.

hoggle was definitely his his element herding these goats.  it was such fun to watch him maneuver around.

beautiful buds, not sure yet what kind of tree this is but it looks very old and elegant.

in the evening a visit with amy....she made me a beautiful dancing sculpture for my birthday....

april 4th....knitting circle

we met at my house (i was up at 6 cleaning in preparation)....we had some new people join us this month.  and there were three new knitters, which is very exciting for me.  they learned how to cast on and basic knit stitch.  all three were very fast learners, and one (who was left handed) was a natural.  the food was delicious, everyone very generously brought something to share.  ingrid brought quite a few items to 'show and tell', one dress that she knit and wore  back in the 60's, absolutely gorgeous.  thank you to all the ladies who made the evening so  much fun.
